Head Over Feet: A Royal Romantic Comedy (Seven Brides for Seven Mothers Book 5) Kindle Edition
There’s only one problem. Grady has never shown any romantic interest in her.
As the son of the king’s secretary, Grady grew up playing with the royal children. His best friend is Prince Alistair, the second in line for the throne. While he’s drawn to Princess Bree, he knows that there’s no way they can be together. Bree’s station is too far above his.
As the captain of the royal yacht, Grady sees Bree often, but in recent months the princess has been rude, belligerent, and an all-around pain in the butt. When unforeseen circumstances have Grady taking Bree on a cruise in the Mediterranean—alone—things really start to heat up.
Will Grady finally give Bree a chance? Will it be too late?
Find out in the deliciously fun fifth installment of the Seven Brides for Seven Mothers Series.

“Aubrey.” Grady says my name like he’s speaking to the devil himself. “If you act like an obnoxious, spoiled brat, I will treat you like one. But if you can grow up and behave with some decorum, I assure you, you will have no further trouble from me.”
“Obnoxious … spoiled …” I’m full-on sputtering. “I’m not the one who threw the daughter of his employer into the ocean. If anyone is being taken to task here, it’s you.”
“It’s both of you,” Lu interjects firmly. She looks at Grady. “You cannot toss Bree overboard until after our wedding.”
“But he can then? What kind of friend are you?” I demand while picking up my chair and sitting back down in a huff.
“You had it coming, and you know it, Bree. Alistair gave Grady permission to bring a date onboard, so he was in the right, and you were in the wrong.”
Instead of answering Lu, I glare at my brother. “As long as you don’t let Grady get above himself and treat the yacht like his own, I’ll agree.” I sound like a petulant child, but I can’t seem to help myself.
The room becomes so quiet you could hear a pin drop on a pile of freshly shorn Malquarian wool. “I’ll do my part.” Grady sounds like he's agreeing to a public hanging.
Lu exhales loudly. “Alistair and I have decided that before we confirm your status as wedding attendants, you will need to exhibit the fine manners you claim to possess.”
“How?” I’d rather eat the rug.

About the author

USA Today Bestselling author Whitney Dineen is a rock star in her own head. While delusional about her singing abilities, there’s been a plethora of validation that she’s a fairly decent author (AMAZING!!!). After winning many writing awards and selling nearly a kabillion books (math may not be her forte, either), she’s decided to let the voices in her head say whatever they want (sorry, Mom). She also won a fourth-place ribbon in a fifth-grade swim meet in backstroke. So, there’s that.
Whitney loves to play with her kids (a.k.a. dazzle them with her amazing flossing abilities), bake stuff, eat stuff, and write books for people who "get" her. She thinks french fries are the perfect food and Mrs. Roper is her spirit animal.

- Reviewed in the United States on April 17, 2022WOW!!!**I've got to say that I am just speechless at how amazing this book is. I couldn't put it down once I started reading and became hypnotized by Whitney Dineen's writing, I'd give this book ten stars if I could. I am in awe of the Seven Brides for Seven Mothers series and couldn't wait to read Bree and Grady's story. I absolutely loved what a meddling mum Queen Charlotte is and her accomplice, Jacqueline, and how Alfred encourages her. Princess Aubrey has been in love with her brother's best friend and son of her father's secretary, Grady Basset since she first laid eyes on him. Grady never returned her infatuation ruled by his father's prehistoric etiquettes and laws. I laughed so much my sides hurt and tears fell with all the antics of the meddling moms as they planned, sabotaged and organized. Bree comes across as a spoiled brat a lot of the time not really knowing how to deal with the outcome of her unrequited love. Grady has fought against himself to keep his father happy and employed while not dealing well with his feelings towards Bree, feeling like Hes not enough until he realizes a life without her isn't an option. I loved the banter, sexual tension, fight, bikery, and deep-rooted love. The passion they both had of hate was a reflection of their true feelings of love and when they realized that; it was just so beautiful. I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving ARC
- Reviewed in the United States on April 18, 2022I have read all but the very first book in this series. I was hooked with the second book Ain't She Sweet. And each book has progressively gotten better and better. This one however was so frustrating. Our main characters Aubrey and Grady both really like each other but don't believe the other likes them. Everyone knows they like each other. They even tell the main characters how the other likes them but they don't believe it. And we have to suffer through them trying to fake date and real date other people until they get with the program. Even the Queen knows they like each other and she is trying to do everything she can to get them together. And Grady wants to not like Aubrey because his father has drilled it into him that their stations in life prevent them from being a good match. Just because Aubrey is a true life princess doesn't mean she can fall in love with Grady. There was so much jealousy, back and forth and just plain immaturity. And the most frustrating thing is we only got like 3 pages of them finally getting together at the end. It was still a good story. I really wanted it to work out with Aubrey and Jordan until I didn't. What a cad. I did not however like Agnes. She seemed too opportunistic to be the object of the next book. UGH. Oh well. This one was a good read even though I may not be too happy about the next book. I can't wait for Sophie's story. Sigh.

Side note I ended up purchasing this book.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 25, 2022This read was fun, flirty, funny, playful, swoony, sweet and more. I was hooked from beginning til the end. It started with the ever loving, strong minded, determined, feisty Aubrey tackling her first love. So adorable hehe!
The love-hate relationship between Aubrey and Grady made the story so much fun and hilarious. You can feel the passion through the pages. They focus so much on each it's hilarious and sweet. I adore their meddling mothers. They are such sneaky, sweet, and loving ladies.
I have so many favorite moments one is the first meal with the Queen and King it was a hilarious LOL moment with tears. There're also the moments they both acted jealous of each other's dates. I enjoyed the little flashbacks of what happened between Grady and Aubrey. They reveal so much of why they are the way they are with each other. So adorable! Aubrey's mother was a brilliant and loving matchmaker.
The ending is so sweet and swoony. I felt all giddy inside and out. Afterwards I reread some of my fave parts. I must check out the rest of the books in the series!
- Reviewed in the United States on July 29, 2022I love all the books so far in the series Seven Brides for Seven Mothers. I can barely stop when I first start, and all I want when the books end is more! I want more from the couples and their lives afterwards, and this book is no exception. I can't wait for the next book!
- Reviewed in the United States on April 22, 2023And add a meddling mothers to that title. I almost stopped reading this book because I got so tired of reading how rude Princess Aubrey is to everyone. Especially to Grady her childhood crush. And to her mother. Pure brat. Grady was forever the gentleman and if I was him, I would have moved on. I don’t think Audrey was that great of a catch. Who wants to spend their lives with a negative Nellie. Then in the last chapter she has this miraculous change in attitude. So to sum it up I don’t think this storyline was one of the best for this author. I have read a lot of her books and I liked her other books better.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 16, 2022Whitney Dinesen does it again with the 5th book in this series. Aubrey and Grady are a destined couple torn apart by station in life and misunderstandings. But the author steers them together in a masterful way and weaves a lovely story of love. A lovely read that will help you believe in love.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 14, 2022So much fun to read this story. So many in and outs. Great character developments. I couldn't wait to finish this book to find out how the childhood friends can makeup with each other.

4.0 out of 5 stars A cute (kind-of) enemies-to-lovers rom-com with meddling mothers
The fifth book in the Seven Brides for Seven Mothers follows Grady (Alistair's best friend) and Bree, the Prince's sister. They've shared a tempestuous past, having grown up almost like siblings, until Bree started to develop a crush on the older boy. A couple of false starts in their teens turns them into enemies. When Alistair and his fiancée, Lu, force the squabbling pair to be civil for ten consecutive occasions, sparks fly and both must reassess old feelings.
This was a cute addition to the series (I would definitely recommend reading the others first as there are several supporting characters from previous stories). The meddling mothers weren't too overbearing in this one, thankfully. I also appreciated the way in which both lead characters did some retrospection as to how they'd gone from great friends as young children, to enemies as adults. If I have one disappointment, it's that with all of the build up, I would have loved to read more of Grady and Bree actually together, but that's me just being greedy probably!
I also liked the subplots with Grady's parents, and setting up Drew and Sophie's respective storylines. I look forward to reading them.
